Two For The Set

Summary: Returned the GTX 570 and bought two GTX 480s for a C note more. Same amount of Cudo cores and more geek street cred. I'm happy.

As posted a few days ago…

I finally did it. Let me repeat myself, I finally did it. I like to point out to my reading public that exercising really does clear the mind. I feel so much more livid with all this recent exercise. Or maybe it is the very crisp cold air or maybe the jaunt to Yosemite helped me out. Anyhow, life ain't bad for me lately but I digress. I finally made put my foot down and made a firm decision on a video card. About fricking time if you ask me but please don't ask me, it is a sore topic.

Happens to me every time. I buy something; put that endeavor to rest and something better pops up. Phucking Murphy’s Law. Wait, who is this Murphy person. Why was a law named after him/her? Does Murphy’s powers rival those of any of the more mainstream or even lesser stream deities? I would like to know how Murphy stack up to Zeus in a cage match (que South Park eqisode)? But I digress.

I think I should just fake date a girl and hope that a better option pops up immediately. I love trying to game fate, Murphy’s Law, or whatever other energy the Universe is currently operating on. (Wait, did I write that out loud?) I just digressed more. Argh. Focus please.

Tigerdirect.com has/had the eVGA GeForce GTX 480 on promotional pricing. For roughly an extra C Note, I ditched the singular video card setup and further establish my geek street credibility by opting for a two card setup. Kinda of dumb considering I don’t really game but I really want to run two video cards. I live to for geek street cred! I even purchased a larger power source in anticipation of running two GPUs. Also, I was able to cancel my GTX 570 order from Amazon. The great thing about doing budget/free shipping from Amazon is that they lag on your order for a few days. I was able to cancel without any issues. Sweet.

Time to Little Wayne my computer tower and Tat the heck out of it?
