As many of you might have experience, it was a lovely sunny day in Los Angeles today. Actually, based on sunlight for today, it looked as if it was going to be a warm day but, with the added wind, it was quite cold at the Getty Museum.
As for photography prospects/optimal conditions, outside of the minimal traffic, there wasn't much for me from the traditional schools of thought. I was there from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm (bad sun location). I didn't bring a tripod with me and my overall mobility was compromised from a three mile run from the previous day. Oh, how I enjoy this aging thing.
Anyhow, I digress. Towards the end of our stay, I saw this fountain/water trough thingy at the north side of the museum, right next to the Library/Research Institute and a few paces from the tram stop. Blah blah blah, leading lines, minimalist space caught my eye. The picture concept wasn't too original but it is nice to be able to shoot and have something to show for my efforts. Oh, and yeah, I did add the moody stuff to the picture to create something completely different than what I say today cuz today, it was a nice mild sunny Southern Californian Day.
